The Wildlings
A gentle, nature-based gathering for young children and their caregivers
Slow mornings.
Barefoot play.
Connection for children — and for you.
There is a different rhythm with young children.
Slower. Softer.
More about being than doing.
Wildlings is a space to land, exhale,
and spend time in nature alongside others walking a similar path.
For your child —
a chance to explore, play, and feel safe in a gentle, held environment.
For you —
a chance to connect, be supported, and not do it all alone.
This is more than a playgroup.
It’s a space where:
children begin to feel part of something familiar
parents begin to build real relationships
a rhythm of connection starts to form over time
We are not rushing childhood here.
We are creating space for it to unfold.
WHAT A MORNING LOOKS LIKE
Each session follows a gentle, predictable flow:
Arrival + time to settle
Simple seasonal craft or sensory activity
Songs, stories, and shared moments
Free play in nature
Space for parents to connect
There is no pressure to participate in everything.
Children (and adults) are free to move at their own pace.
A GENTLE FOUNDATION
Wildlings- the beginning of something longer term.
Children grow into familiarity with the land, the rhythm, and the people.
Parents begin to feel supported, connected, and part of something bigger.
This is how village begins — slowly, over time.
OUR INTENTION
Each session is gently facilitated with a focus on:
nature connection
co-regulation
creating a calm, welcoming environment
We don’t expect perfection.
But we hold the intention that you and your child leave feeling:
more connected
more settled
and a little more held
THE BIGGER VISION
This is not just a weekly session.
We are growing something long-term —
a village where children are known, and adults are supported.
Over time this includes:
seasonal gatherings
family camps
parent circles
teen pathways + rites of passage
A place to belong — for years, not just a term.

Yes — this is a shared space for both children and caregivers.
Overtime as friendships are created and bonds formed you are welcome to share care with other parents to allow some respite or quiet time for yourself if needed.

That’s completely okay. Children are free to observe, play, or stay close to you.

The Long Table is a dedicated workspace for parents who would like uninterrupted time to work, study or create while remaining close to their child.
Located a short walk from the main gathering space, it allows parents to step away from the activity while staying on the property and available if needed.
For children aged approximately 18 months and over who are settled and comfortable, there may be opportunities for them to spend time with the group, supported by our facilitators and rostered parent helpers. As every child is different, this is not guaranteed and will always depend on your child's comfort and readiness.
The Long Table is not a childcare service. Parents remain responsible for their child and must be available to return if their child needs support.
